He continued to study for his GCSE Psychology and Maths. In June he sat AQA GCSE Psychology, his first exam, at age 14. In August he picked up his result and he got a C which we were very proud of.

He has played for his clubs junior 1st team in all their matches which was one of his 3 goals for his golf this year. He also won a number of mainstream comps and got a lot of handicap drops to finally at the end of August reach his goal of a 15 handicap.

His interview about disabled rules that he gave to the Celtic Manor’s PR guy about the Principality Open was used in a number of golf papers and magazines including Fairways magazine.

He also had the privilege of playing in The Seniors ProAm at Stoke by Neyland, he played with a lovely Pro called Pedro Linhart and they had a great day and Jord played really good golf and the team came 3rd.

He had the fantastic opportunity to play in the Ladies European Tour Masters ProAm at The Buckinghamshire. He got to meet up with the Pro he played with last year Whitney Hillier and they chatted and took photos. In the ProAm he played with Sophie Walker and 2 other disabled golfers on one of the ISPSHanda teams. He played well but they didn’t place but he had a great day and enjoyed the opportunity.

He volunteered at The Senior Open in Royal Porthcawl in the Golf Development Wales tents helping kids with New to Golf and street games. He also bumped into the Pro he played with at the Senior ProAm Pedro Linhart and had a brief chat to him.

He played in Southerndown Junior Open as well using the disabled rules and had a great round until the last hole so didn’t place but did enjoy the round.

He went to see his coach aswell in the Summer break for a coaching session.

January to April 2014.

Apologies again, so busy im not very regular at the blogging lark.

Well Jord has kept up with his GCSE Maths and Psychology and is now and has been doing revision and he sits the Psychology exam June 3rd and 10th.

He is also into Minecraft and enjoys creating his own texture packs on Minecraft.

He has his own You Tube account and records and processes game play and creates grafix for his Mr WelshGeek page.

He has cooked a number of meals for the family and also with his cousin at my parents house.

We had the usual appointments to such as the Opticians, Camhs, Audiology, Podiatry, ENT etc.

Golf is still massive in Jord's life so loads of golfing been played.

We started a memory jar at the start of the year and every time there is something positive we put a little note of it in there and come New Years Eve we will pull them all out and read and look back on the year.

Jord still plays the Sims 3 and designs loads of houses on there.

Jord still volunteers with Valleys Golf at their Inclusive coaching and also their mainstream New to Golf classes. He even planned the Inclusive lessons for a while. He also helped at the Valleys Golf Presentation Afternoon.

He has been on two courses, one was a Tri Golf Activator course and also a Snag Golf course.

He was interviewed last year by Golf Development Wales about Disabled Golf and ISPSHanda shared the video.

He played at Celtic Manor on The Montgomerie course which he loved.

He had a coaching lesson with his coach Craig Thomas.

We had a meeting with The Vale Resort about holding a charity golf day there in 2015, Jay's Autism Awareness Charity Golf Day will be on September 4th 2015.

We also went to the Autism Heroes Launch at The Sennedd and Jord was announced as a finalist in the Outstanding Personal Achievement Award in Sport.

We also found out that Jord is one of three finalists for the Rhondda Cynon Taff Young Sports Person of the year award for 2014.

Jord crossed the bridge to take part in the England Disabled Golf Associations Race to Burhill qualifier at Thornbury Golf Club, he won on the day so qualified for the Burhill Final and also got a handicap drop.

Golf Union of Wales historically used the R & A adjusted rules for disabled golfers for the first time this year for the qualifiers for the Principality Junior Wales Open so Jord was able to take part.

We also helped at the Autism Expo on the Holly's Ball/Jay's Autism Awareness Charity golf day stand.

Jord stayed over my parents and went with my dad on work to London, delivering and picking up musicians gear and then visited my sister and nephew in Surrey. Jord loved London and all the sights and also how cosmopolitan it was.

Jord was interviewed by the Celtic Manor PR guy about the Principality Junior Wales Open qualifiers and was in the press release which has been used in the South Wales Echo.

Jord collects ball markers and a very kind disabled golfer from Scotland gave him his collection of hundreds of ball markers.

Jord was incredibly lucky to be invited by his coach to be on an ISPSHanda team for the ISPSHanda Sponsors day at Celtic Manor at the 2010 course. He took part in the ISPSHanda golf clinic and then played a round on the 2010 course and then had a meal in the evening. A huge privilege which he really appreciated.

A few days after there was an article about the ISPSHanda golf clinic including an interview he did on the European Tour website.

Autumn thru to end of December 2013.

Bad blogger alert...badly neglected this blog but in my defence do have an awesome son who is thriving big-time so blog neglect for a good reason :)

Jordan has chosen to study for two GCSE Exams this year (he is only 14). He is studying for WJEC GCSE Linear Maths and AQA GCSE Psychology. He has a tutor class for each subject once a week at Bridgend Home Educators group and then the rest of the work is done at home. They also had a day long Psychology workshop to make sure the children were up to speed. He also did a Mock Math GCSE and got over 80% right, not bad considering he hasn't even done a third of the course work.

Jordan had the usual Audiology, ENT and CAMHS appointments in the mix.

He went to a birthday party at a friends house.

Jord did a bit of cooking including cooking with his cousin at his grandads and also cooking tea for him and his dad and other meals for the family.

He also did a lot of Minecraft and also Sims 3.

We went for a family meal in December with over 20 members of the family there.

The biggest things have been golf....as well as his usual playing and practice Jord continued on the Disabled Golf Associations Race to Wales Tour and played in Forest Hills were he came third.

He was also chosen to play for Wales against England.

The big achievement was when he won the Race to Wales 2013, he really struggled though the year with his Autism, Tourettes and Hypermobility affecting him on the course but he battled through them and managed to win the Race to Wales.

He did a Junior Leader Course and since then has been Volunteering with Valleys Golf at their Inclusive Coaching and Mainstream Coaching.

He took part in Social Golf at The Vale club and got presented again with his Race to Wales cup at the Presentation Night.

He was filmed, photographed and interviewed for Golf Development Wales about Inclusive Coaching, still waiting on it being put on You Tube.

It was Presentation Night in Pontypridd Golf Club and he won 'Outstanding Achievement'.

He started a 4 year plan with Valleys Golf under the Pro's mentoring to get him to were he needs to be at age 18 to do his PGA training.

He saw his coach in England for a coaching session.

He also was ill for about two weeks of December.

Obviously we had Christmas and he had new golf clubs along with other goodies.

2014 looks to be very exciting as he is looking forward to another golf season and also lots more courses and involvement with Valleys Golf and sitting his exams.
